What is AMD SEV Confidential Computing?
AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) encrypts each VM's memory with a unique hardware key. The host system cannot access your data - even with physical access to the server. This creates a zero-trust architecture where only your workload can decrypt its own memory.
How does this differ from standard VPS hosting?
Standard VPS relies on software isolation. Our Confidential Servers use hardware-enforced encryption at the CPU level. The hypervisor, host OS, and other tenants cannot access your memory or disk contents. You get cryptographic proof of confidentiality, not just promises.
Is disk encryption included?
Yes, always-on AES-256 disk encryption is enabled by default. Your data is encrypted at rest and in memory with no configuration required. Snapshots and backups are also encrypted using the same security standards.
What performance can I expect?
Dedicated-class performance powered by AMD EPYC CPUs, delivering approximately ~90K read IOPS and ~38K write IOPS on replicated NVMe storage with consistent sub-millisecond latency (230–265 µs average). Networking is provided via 10 Gigabit Ethernet with no oversubscription, and encryption overhead remains negligible thanks to hardware acceleration.
Where are servers located and what compliance do you offer?
All servers are hosted in ISO 27001 certified Swiss data centers. Switzerland's strong data protection laws and political neutrality make it ideal for GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
Can I migrate from my existing servers?
Yes. Our support team assists with migrations from both VPS and dedicated servers.
